So Ryan over at Pause the Moment had a photo contest on their Facebook page. The title was “It All Happened in the Moment” which describes taking a picture on the spur of the moment, before you had too much time to really consider it.
This was the case of the photo that I submitted to them. I was in Berchtesgaden (In South-East Germany) with my Dad in 2005. We had borrowed my Sister’s Smart car (those cars have been in Germany since ’98 or so) while she and her new husband were off honey-mooning. Berchtesgaden is most particularly known for it’s awesome lakes (Koenigs See) and Adolf Hitler’s fortress of a house, Eagles Nest, which has now been turned into an expensive restaurant, which is a shame really. Anyway, the photo is of a boathouse, at the end of Koenigs See.
So this picture, which I took mainly because the area was so beautiful, got me third place in the contest
Thank you for the experience Ryan!
